The devaluation rate started falling in 2004 and four years later the 2008 crash arrived. The devaluation rate started falling again in 2013. What will happen in 2017? Not sure, but there may be a pattern.
I don’t personally care since I follow the permanent portfolio approach to investing and have my wealth in four quadrants with one or more benefitting regardless of whether Federal Reserve banks and the government are devaluing or revaluing Federal Reserve digits (dollars).
